Highly recommend Dogwood Acres Kent Island for both dog boarding and daycare. As a first time dog owner I was really nervous to leave my puppy there - but the staff makes you feel at ease the second you walk in and they were always prompt to respond to text messages when I wanted to check in on her. They also provided detailed updates via the app, with pics included. My dog practically jumps out of the car when we pull up to this facility for daycare, and sometimes she’s more excited to see the front desk staff (Abby specifically is her fav) than me when I pick her up, which makes me feel good that she loves them so much! She is a foxhound so very high energy, but comes home exhausted after daycare- win/win for both of us! I also love that I can check in on the cameras during the day. Will always recommend Dogwood!

My experience with Dogwood Acres was wonderful. It is the best boarding facility I have experienced in 20+ years. The staff are so caring, they took incredible care of my baby who refused to eat when she first got there. They have a lots of different activities for dogs with different needs. For example, our dog has a CcL that needs repair and cannot be in an all day play group, but she loves other dogs and likes having opportunities to interact. Dogwood Acres has a program where dogs can have small group play time. Ginger also loves to walk and they have a beautiful facility with walking paths so she could go out and sniff.
