I’ve only known about this place for a little over a year now, but I swear it is by far the #1 place in Maryland to get tropical plants! They specialize in uncommon tropical plants and I love it!! They also have a wide selection of cacti, hoyas, and some regular plants. I will forever drive the 57 minute car ride every time! I live in Westminster so I love the fact that it’s only 1 or 2 turns to get there, so it’s a very easy drive with a beautiful scenic view. Absolute best place for houseplants in the DMV area! We LOVE to go here to buy houseplants and also to gawk at them! The greenhouse is beautifully set up and it’s so fun to admire all the plants. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Overall, highly recommend Plants Alive! for plant shopping or for a fun place to visit!

Plants Alive! is my favorite greenhouse to visit. The plants I've bought are healthy and thriving, the prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the atmosphere is so rejuvenating! Plants Alive! is totally worth the drive - even for just a stroll through the GIANT greenhouse!
