I can’t believe I’m just finding out about Plants Alive. Truly a hidden gem! As soon as I walked in I was completely in awe of just how beautiful the greenhouse was. I was impressed! You can tell that they take pride in caring for their plants. The staff were so sweet, helpful and knowledgeable. I felt right at home. Also, I absolutely love the fact that they offer classes, workshops and events. This place is amazing!!!

I’ve only known about this place for a little over a year now, but I swear it is by far the #1 place in Maryland to get tropical plants! They specialize in uncommon tropical plants and I love it!! They also have a wide selection of cacti, hoyas, and some regular plants. I will forever drive the 57 minute car ride every time! I live in Westminster so I love the fact that it’s only 1 or 2 turns to get there, so it’s a very easy drive with a beautiful scenic view. You’ll know you’re close when you start seeing lots of green trees ?

Absolute best place for houseplants in the DMV area! We LOVE to go here to buy houseplants and also to gawk at them! The greenhouse is beautifully set up and it’s so fun to admire all the plants. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Overall, highly recommend Plants Alive! for plant shopping or for a fun place to visit!
