Dr Benjamin J Osborne is an associate professor of neurology and ophthalmology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. He directs the Neuromyelitis Optica and Neuro-Ophthalmology Clinics and the Multiple Sclerosis Fellowship Program. Board-certified in neurology, he specializes in neuro-ophthalmology and multiple sclerosis. Dr Osborne treats complex vision problems caused by neurological diseases like multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, and optic neuritis. His team uses field testing and optic coherence tomography (OCT). He has published many journal articles and is involved in ongoing research studies.

This was my second appointment with Dr. Osborne and it was great. The wait time was minimal and the staff was professional yet personable. Dr. Osborne asked relevant questions and thorough follow up questions based on my responses. He shared a potential correlation that no one had ever mentioned before which will result in further research for understanding for me. At no time did I feel rushed. The setting was comfortable. Moreover I was able to schedule my next appointment and was given copies of test results to share with other health care providers. Seeing Dr. Osborne is worth the trip to this office.
Dr. Osborne, administrative and medical assistants were wonderful. Polite, patient and easy to work with.
Dr. Osborne took the time to review my medical history, compare results to previous exams. They were in fact better. Dr Osborne previously recommended that prism be put in my lenses. That made a world of difference for me and I believe led to a better exam this time.

Dr. Osborne was able to gently reach my husband about doing something hat my husband has resisted for 3 years. He was very professional and explained everything very clearly in person and in his clinical notes. It's too bad that it took six months to get an appointment with Dr. Osborne.
