When we first moved to the area, our dog, Moose, had a flare of what turned out to be chronic pancreatitis. Dr. Mallela saw Moose quickly, advised us clearly on treatment, and followed up with us after the appointment to make sure that Moose was doing okay. We were very anxious because we had not established a primary vet yet, but that experience made the choice to use Animal Place clear.
We moved to the area a few years ago and entrusted the care of our senior cat to this practice. Our cat was born blind, and as his years progressed, he slowly accrued several conditions that required ongoing care. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our beloved boy last week at the ripe age of 19, but I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this practice and Dr. Mallela, in particular. We have been taking our two cats to Animal Place for several years. The care by Dr. Ogando has been friendly, thorough and well-informed. She has always explained care recommendations thoroughly. The staff follows up after treatments to make sure that our cats are doing well. On the rare occasions when there has been an emergency, Animal Place has been able to see us on short notice, even on a Sunday.
