The salon prioritizes hygiene, strictly following CDC guidelines to ensure a rigorous cleaning condition. Clients praise the professionalism and excellent work, noting that nails do not chip and may only require a redo after 4-5 weeks. However, some customers feel that the service can be rushed, with quick turnarounds and attempts to upsell more expensive services. Despite this, many appreciate the skill of the staff, with one customer highlighting Nancy's amazing technical proficiency, especially with designs like cherry blossom nails with ombré dipping. The salon shows care for the community, accommodating customers with disabilities and offering alternative services when needed. With its attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction, Allure Nail Bar remains a charming destination for those seeking a gorgeous nail set, although the atmosphere can sometimes be noisy.
Very low effort place in my experience. Seems like they try and get you in and out of the chair as quickly as possible. I got the lowest level pedicure and while I know it was the cheapest, they barely did anything at all. They tried to upsell me on a more expensive one each time I said I wanted the basic one. The polish was patchy.
I felt like they rushed the whole thing, and then the time they made me wait post-pedicure to pay was longer than the pedicure itself
The ladies who work there can be a little loud with their conversations, most of the time I leave there with a headache.. they usually have the music on.. I rather hear the music then all that loud talking
For the cost you'd hope for more professionalism and customer service. More affordable and pleasant to go to salons in DC/DuPont circle with complimentary beverages and the burden of parking. Vibe was subpar. The nail technician I saw was the only staff member with skill and civility... the other five staff members were so loud. Talking to each other- more or less screaming from one room/corridor to the next providing NO relaxation. Thank goodness I had headphones but even then it was difficult to drown the yapping. Not to mention- it's not the first time I've seen this at a salon but when you get situated in your pedi chair the last thing I want to see is a staff member curled up in one, on massage mode, watching you tube while gossiping with her back turned to everyone. unreal that anyone in customer service could be so inconsiderate, unprofessional and inappropriate to the patrons and environment. thank you to the technician but no thank you to the experience or environment.
