Great gym with a very welcoming culture. Fernando is a top instructor in the area and one of maybe 200 or less BJJ coral belts on the planet. Training with him and the other talented students at Yamasaki Academy has helped my jiu jitsu immeasurably. It's also a great location - next to the Twinbrook metro stop with plenty of free parking.

So happy for my myself and my boys to be training at Yamasaki Academy, with the best, legendary Masters and Professors, and talented Coaches... Exceptionally respectful environment, highly efficient programs, extra level of covid safety...

This is a fantastic place to learn Jiu Jitsu. The instructors are phenomenal and are really there to help, and make you feel comfortable. I personally dropped out after a few months due to other life commitments but can't speak more highly about my experience there!
