Traveled from Laurel to this Rockville location at the recommendation of Dominion Electric and found exactly what the lamp needed. The perfect fix for my alabaster lamps socket; my parents bought it in Italy while we were stationed overseas.
Thank you.
As a master electrician, I frequently encounter numerous damaged antique light fixtures. For the past 25 years, I've been visiting this place to source all the necessary replacement parts. The variety of distinctive sockets, cords, and switches is astonishing.
I came in thinking i needed a socket repaired on a lamp. The gentleman told me to bring it in, helped take it apart and showed that a remaining piece of the previous lightbulb was still stuck inside. Removed it for me (it was pretty stuck) and put in a new bulb and made sure it worked. Took all of 10 mins and he didnt charge me anything. Obviously this could have gone very different if he wasnt so honest and experienced. Would bring anything to him now knowing this is standard practice at RS Custom Lighting Repair.
