I have had the absolute worst experience with Flat Rate that anyone could possibly have. I severely regret the decision to hire them Not only were they 8 days late with my delivery - but they completely stopped communicating. No calls, no updates about a delay, no messages. As my delivery day grew closer - I started calling them, they would put me on hold and then hang up. no one ever called back. I had to cancel a business trip (incurred costs on airfare + hotel) in order to be at the house to receive my belongings. They also charged me an extra 2500 the day they came to pick up my things. I had literally no choice but to pay. When they finally did deliver - they didn't unpack me. I had paid for the packing and unpacking service - and I ended up having to hire people to unpack me. I literally didn't get the service I paid an extra 2000 for. Do NOT use this company! Moving is one of the most stressful things a person can do, and this company made it 10x more stressful.
We used flatrate to move to a new apartment last month. The mover were awesome. Not a scratch on any of our furniture. Mike did a great job setting the whole move up and it went super smoothly. The communication was great and we knew exactly where everything was during the move.
Do not use this company. Flatrate increased the price of the move by over $1000 to bring my items back from storage when I had no choice but to use them. Flatrate broke five pieces of furniture worth thousands of dollars and valued them at $150. In addition, I am certain their storage facilities were not climate controlled because hundreds of items came back with mold. Do not use at all
