Had a emergency with my dog in OBX. Called multiple places they either weren’t open or wouldn’t take walk in’s. Decided to head home -North. As i was driving home i searched for vets in the area of my drive and found Layfield just 5 minutes from me. I called asked if they would take a walk in and they said yes. From the moment I walked in the staff were attentive and quick to service my pup. The doctor did an exam, xray and administered meds. The doctor was awesome, very caring and down to earth. Thank you Lauren and staff. I needed to bring my dog in there for cuts on her paws from getting cut on oyster beds. It was the end of there work day and stuck it out to help me out. Very professional and courteous. Recommend them highly. PS. dog is doing well.
This was our first time here with our new kitty Zeke. The staff was amazing. It started with the receptionist who was so kind and really seemed to care. Our kitty was there for a sick visit and the vet tech Adrianne was so gentle and sweet to Zeke. Dr. Abell was wonderful with Zeke and explained everything to us about him being sick. She was very understanding as we are new kitty parents. She was compassionate and truly seemed to care about her patients. I highly recommend them and Zeke will never go to another hospital. Thank you all at Layfield for caring so much about us and Zeke.
