As a homeless Veteran from Indiana leaving an abusive marriage I asked the VA for help for housing. I was on the list for a 1 bedroom apartment and was approved within 3 months with move in date 3 months later. I have nothing bad to say about my stay there. It was a very nice experience for me from every angle. I was able to furnish my apartment with help from the VA and donations. I'm extremely grateful for all your help. Thank you Perry Point
I avoided using VA health for a long time after I got out of the military, largely due to all the horror stories I heard from other veterans. After paying some astronomical prices from regular health care providers in the area, I decided to give Perry Point a shot, and I'm so glad I did. Perry Point VA health clinic has provided me with nothing but prompt, professional, and helpful care for all of my health concerns. I've been able to get appointments within a week or two at most outside of specialty care. All doctors and staff have been helpful, and always listened to my concerns. If you are a veteran in the area, I highly recommend this facility.
As a Veteran myself who recognizes privacy issues, I can't share names, but a family member has been staying here. Despite the poor rating of this VA Facility, he states that his treatment has been consistent, the staff has been friendly, and the other patients get along well with no drama. What's sad is that so many veterans have no idea that this hospital is available for the treatment of PTSD, Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Bi-Polar Disease, Anxiety and more - for FREE. Meetings are available daily, and in addition to psychological assistance, medical physicians are available too.
