Unfortunately, I will not be returning back to this office. I came in for a potential screening due to family history of colon cancer and after my father was told by a gastroenterologist at another office that he has 99% chance of getting it. After talking to another gastroenterologist and my father, who has done deep research since losing his father at 13 to colon cancer, I have decided that Dr. Flaser would not be someone I could return to if I ever came to having potential issues. I was told that he wouldn’t recommend a screening just because of my “mental health” and my “anxiety” of thoughts of having an issue because of family history. I work at a medical malpractice law firm and have learned that issues like this isn’t to be messed with.

This review reflects specifically on Dr. Flaser. During a visit, he seemed irritable and condescending. If a doctor is unable to respectfully listen to you describe your symptoms and ask questions without being condescending, then why be in this profession? My hope is that Dr. Flaser would review his approach and adjust to better help patients and the practice he works for.

Dr. Flasar was friendly and knowledgeable. He listened intently to my history and symptom complaints and asked questions to clarify things. He asked about my resolutions from other doctors and things I have done to resolve my symptoms. He offered tests and then ultimately a test procedure. So far, I have been quite pleased with the process.
