Just went to Paul Lucas for the first time, have been living in Parkville for several years now and have always heard good things. I called in and made a fast appointment with Macey, she did an excellent job cutting my hair!
I had not had a hair cut in several months so my hair was pretty long and challenging to get under control, she did a great job of giving me styling tips and helping me pick a new style. I really am never sure what to ask for at the barber shop so I rely a lot on the stylist/barber for advice. Macey was patient and helped me pick the best style for me and took my current hair style into consideration!
I will definitely be back to Paul Luca’s again, thank you!

Paul Luca has been my barber—as well as my family’s barber—for a long, long time. Paul & associates run a friendly, clean, & professional shop. The Shop maintains that traditional local feel of a classic neighborhood barbershop, while also catering to families and kids as well. For the near 20 years I lived out of state, I would often wait to get my hair cut until I came back to Baltimore to visit and could see Paul. Despite the fact that I’ve gotten pretty much the same haircut for decades, Paul still takes his time—never feeling rushed or preoccupied—paying close attention to detail and ensuring that I walk out happy with a quality cut. Though this won’t apply to most; I am physically disabled from a severe SCI. Luca’s Barber Shop is always accommodating; going above & beyond to make sure my appointments are smooth and comfortable.
The Shop no longer does walk-ins to the best of my knowledge, so it’s necessary to make an appointment. While this may be inconvenient for some, it speaks to the skill and demand for Paul & his team.
For me, finding a great barber is a lot like finally finding a good dentist, or primary care physician, or a dentist plumber, or shrink. Once I feel comfortable and know they will do an excellent job, I’m a patron for life. If you like your haircut experience to be a crap shoot; where maybe one month you get a decent cut but the next your hair is butchered, then go to a Hair Cuttery-type franchise. However, if you prefer leaving the barber with a quality, friendly, stress-free haircut experience, then Luca’s Barbershop is the place for you!
