This review is long overdue, but everyone should know how amazing Dr. Perl is! I adopted a very reactive dog who has lots of fear / aggression - so much so that my usual vet was unable (or unwilling) to examine him. Dr. Perl was able to sedate him and administer the required vaxes at my home, where my dog was most comfortable (taking to a veterinary clinic is pretty risky due to strangers and other animals). He was amazing and clearly had dealt with dogs like mine before - which made me feel much better! He's also got a wonderful personality and is more than pleasant to deal with - and didn't charge an extra arm or leg, which you might expect with house calls!... read full review

We traditionally brought our dogs to an on-site vet, but as our dog has gotten older, those visits became much more difficult — especially for routine care. My Vet Calls has truly been such a blessing for our family.
For our 13-year-old lab, being able to stay on his comfy couch while the vets examine him in a calm, familiar environment means everything. It keeps his stress down and makes the entire experience so much easier on him (and on us).

Dr. James and her assistant, Jordan, came to me house for our shelter dog taken from a hoarding situation who is very anxious and scared around new people. Dr. James was so patient. She didn't rush the process and was even able to draw blood without him jumping, crying or reacting. Her determination and patience paid off. Both she and her assistant were amazing.
