I will definitely come back. I was seen right away and did not have to wait. The environment was clean and the stylist was very friendly. I came in with my hair looking a mess and now absolutely love my hair.

On the surface, my hair looks nice, But once I got home, I noticed how her rushing carried into the final product. This is not to say she does not know what she is doing, or to bash her skills. I received a "Press and Curl + Deep Conditioner" from La'Sonia at Hair on You in Odenton. I was less than satisfied. 1. Interactions with the assistant was unprofessional, and she was late without giving me a heads up. 2. Did not blow my hair dry in reasonable sections, and yanked my head around. 3. Burned my scalp on MULTIPLE occasions, did not apologize, or try to do better. 4. Rushed through, once again using large sections while flat-ironing my hair. - I could have done the same thing. She did not straighten my hair, she flat ironed it. 5. The crown of my head still has waves to the scalp, and it is not straight. 6. Did not quote the correct price. - I worked in a hair salon as an assistant for 2 years myself, and never publicly displayed any issues with my mentor. This is only me sharing what happened while in her hands.

Where do I begin. Ok, so she took me on short notice! So at 5:45 am, here I am with 2 people in front of me?? I told her that I was having a hard time with my natural hair and finding a style that looked good on me. I specifically said that I don't want little "worms" all over my head, which is exactly what I got. So she washes and " deep conditions" (salon speak for buying time for another customer) my hair using the same salon products that were used on my head the night before. Yes, I said, salon products. Because I am in a regular hair salon. But in fairness to her, she is trying to get her own space. So, she says that I would like the " twist out coils". Ok! But I needed to cut out the rest of the perm, THE BIG CHOP! I am very nervous but she assures me that it is broken off anyway. Ii am not cutting your hair for styling just to get the dead ends off. Huh? Well, she proceeds to cut my hair very short in the back and on the sides, saying my hair will not coil because the strands will not revert,WTH! So, try something else! Cutting my hair was hard enough, so you are going to chop off way more than needs to be. She said my hair would not coil if she didn't and begins to demonstrate on hair that had not been cut. Voila, coil! Now I am near to tears but I have to get the other side cut to match and the shape is bad. I mean really bad. Not to mention that she had somewhere to go so coils were a convenience for her but maybe not the best style for me. So she decides to stop cutting my hair altogether because she can see that I am upset, so I have to ask her to please cut the damaged ends off. DUH! So she flexees the top, which lasted all of about 3hours in yesterday's humidity. I did not like my hair at all! You just need to get used to it!WTH! Please stop saying that to unsatisfied customers. You just need people in your inner circle to affirm you! REALLY! I know what I like and by the way , my "inner circle" was not pleased, with neither the cost nor the style. A woman wants to come out of the salon feeling and looking better than when she went in, especially because she paid for it! Then she asks me if my check was drawn on a " local" bank, which it is. But she meant like a bank with a convenient location for her. Why are u saying this to me when I asked u to let me go with wet hair to the ATM to get some cash? 'Cause I get a lot of returned checks on my account. Hmmmm, I wonder if they are not stopped payment? So I go to the ATM but if I were that type of person, I would and should have kept it moving. $120.00. Yup! For poor customer service, inconvenience, a bad hairstyle and 4 hours of my time. Oh, and by the way, I saved 20.00, because she didn't chop off as much hair as she wanted, too.
