My experience with them was amazing! The whole staff have great customer service and they care about the customers. Just walking in their spirit and how they welcome people is amazing, they give you exactly what you want and then some. They stuck with me for life I'm coming in every other week!

My sister was supposed to be getting her hair done here but I felt like they wanted to get over on us they wanted to over charge my sister just wanted a sew in at the end of the day and they wanted to charge 575 if my sister asked to get her hair dyed and for the sew in and for the sew in to be dyed because they didn’t have her color and we were told they provided all of this and they wanted to charge 800+ when we walked in they commented on my hair which I didn’t feel necessary when I was in the background they gave us looks constantly and were unprofessional seemed like they were pulling prices from there asses turns out my sister was texting the owner the whole time and the owner didn’t communicate with her stylists we had an 11:30 appointment and came early very unprofessional, very overpriced. I truly believe pay for what you want but the way we were looked at and talked to gave they were trying to get over on us and prices didn’t even match the board. Please do better and I found it ironic how the board said no kids unless they were getting their hair done but the stylist had her kid there. I love to support black owned businesses as a black woman myself but this is why they stereotype us because of attitudes and impressions like the ones we were given.

My mother was visiting from out of town and came to Mahia’s to have her hair colored. A lovely stylist took her in without an appointment and was extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. My mother also got great advice on how to keep her hair stronger and healthier. Her hair looks amazing! A great treat for her birthday. Thanks Mahia’s for the excellent service.

I called a week in advance and scheduled an appointment to get a haircut before a trip. They didn't write it down so the day of appointment, I waited around 30 mins in the shop to learn no one was available to do my hair.
