Dr. Fried required $ 1800 payment up front for a gum transplant procedure that I subsequently decided not to have. Although promised many times,I have still not received a refund over a year later. Beware of this dishonest practice

On September 20 I made an appointment to have crown work done on Oct 11 and signed a form that said my first payment of $408 was not refundable. 3 business days later-well in advance of the appointment-I called the scheduler to cancel and said I’d felt pressured. Minutes later Dr. Fried called me back shouting at me that if I wanted to cancel he’d refund my money but how dare I tell his office I felt pressured. He subsequently hung up the phone on me. I called back several times and left messages which were never returned. I even emailed the office for the refund Dr Fried said he’d give me. Finally I called my bank and perry hall dental sent the bank a copy of the agreement I signed despite the fact that 2 days later he said he’d refund my money. Don’t go to this dentist unless you want to get ripped off.

I’ve been seeing this dentist for all of 2022 and have finally decided not to return. I was always told they didn’t have time for my cleanings, I was told I needed a crown it cost me $500 out of pocket. The experience was all around bad. I was in pain during the removal of decay and sent home with a temporary cap. My crown was taking a very long time to come in from my knowledge not the fault of the dentist but the lab, but when I came in after waiting 2+ months they realized the tooth was not the right one. Not sure how that mistake was made. It wasn’t a complete waste of time because they removed and reset my temp tooth that was put in wrong & causing pain. I returned back late summer to get the correct crown and it wasn’t set right. Id never had a crown before and notice a bit of discomfort but nothing unmanageable . I thought that my mouth was adjusting to the crown and that my gum was sore around implant. Only to have excruciating pain early December. I returned to the dentist and he said I should have come back sooner if it wasn’t right?? How was i to know that mild gum pain was something serious? I wish someone would have told me the signs to look for when I got the crown, but they never did. So now I find out I have a gum infection which can’t be cured just managed. Dr F sent me home with antibiotics but with not much knowledge of the diagnosis. I saw a new dentist and I will no longer be going to DR F. He cares about making $$ not the health and overall well-being of his patients. If your reading this please don’t make the same mistake that I did.

I constantly complained about cavities and they weren't attended to. One filling fell out the same day I got it. I had to go back to get it fixed and it still was done incorrectly. My face was swollen and bruised from the injections which is the first time that happened to me. I decided to go with a new dentist and found out I had a cavity in every tooth. I even had one in the crown Dr. Freid did. My son complained about his teeth as well. His fillings kept coming out and now the new dentist has to do a lot of work on him as well.

My fillings would fall out several times. Procedures were always very quick, not insuring care. My new dentist had to give me a root canal because my cavities weren’t cleaned properly before being filled here. There are still 2 other cavities under fillings from here that my new dentist has to work on. Root canals are not a procedure that should be common and as a patient I’m frustrated to not being cared for properly leaving my teeth vulnerably in Perry Hall Family Dental’s care. They may have a nice facade, but beware for not having cavities correctly tended to.

For simple cavity filling, he gave 10 days high dose antibiotics which made the patient serious. And still paining tooth. This dentist is not good.

Front desk is wonderful, however when it comes to the actual dentist? Be prepared for a cool demeanor. He's bouncing from room to room. I'm not use to this kind of "bed side manner." I called last Monday because I was in pain but was given an appointment, a week later. After finally making it through the week, I get to my appointment. This office needs a major haul on new appliances. Their x-ray components scraps the insides of your mouth as you try to sit through the pain. After going through my options, I decided to get an extraction. I don't know if it was because of the time (around 4 pm) but I was basically discarded and given a referral. A referral for an extraction?! After wasting sick time from work, I asked the assistant if I could be given something for the pain since I wasn't going to be helped today. Doctor Fried came in and told me to take Motrin. Motrin. As if I haven't been popping Tylenol all week waiting for this appointment. Anyway this office lost four patients. I was already planning to find another dentist for 2019 but this event pushed me to the edge.
