    LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Room after room of beautiful flowers and vegetable plants.. AND They grow and process hemp/CBD products there.. Received a sample of a topical.. Works great!! Open Saturdays.. Go check them out!!???

    It was mid November of 2018 when for less than $5 each I bought 2 of your poinsettias at the Walmart in Rio Grande. They turned out to be the best poinsettias I have ever bought. They survived un scathed our vacations over Thanksgiving and Christmas...no small miracle with normal plants. But they held their brilliance all through the season and beyond. It is not unusual for the ‘leaves’ to dry up and fall off. BUT....THE FIRST ONE DIDN’T FALL UNTIL THE END OF APRIL! By then it was growing new leaves and the final red fell off in July.I believe you had some good stock to start with but the planting medium and good care contributed as well.     My building buys Poinsettas from this grower every December. This past December 2016 we got Poinsettas and the one that we received is still going strong and it is 21 Jul 17. I called to get information on how to keep it growing strong and was given great information by a yuoung man. They were so helpful and answered my questions and even gave me helpful tips. Catoctin Mountain Growers Rock!!!!!

We are open to public on Saturdays only from 8am-4pm from the months of March through June. Monday through Friday we focus on Wholesale clients only from 8am-4pm. Started by Bob and Denise Van Wingerden in 1985 with nothing more than one acre of greenhouse, CMG has continued to grow rapidly. Now with 15 acres of under-glass greenhouse and 15 acres of outdoor growing space, CMG went from solely supplying other greenhouses, to being a grower for Garden Centers, Landscapers, Grocery Stores, Big-box retailers, and anyone with a need of outstanding product.
