“A while ago, I had my eyebrows microbladed. They looked great, but the healing process and maintenance was a bit much. I just let the ink fade and stuck with using brow powder. Fast forward a good 8 years, and I am reading a post from a girl I follow for fashion - but that day she decides to talk about her fabulous eyebrows. She too had them microbladed years ago and didn't like it. She has since had them laminated and tinted - and this combo is why she has the most amazing brows ever. Quick like a bunny, I ask Google to give me some deets on brow lamination and tinting in my area (Columbia/Ellicott City, MD). Based on what I'm reading, I decide I'm going to give it a shot. It's affordable, it lasts a good two months, there is absolutely no healing time and if I don't like it, I can go back to my pathetic eyebrows without missing a beat. I land on Vanity Beauty Lounge after my Google search. I pop over to Yelp to see what the reviews say. All the reviews are good and one even mentioned to book with Jennifer Lopez - and that's just what I did. I went to my brow lamination appointment yesterday (tinting is included in this service) and walked in with zero expectations. Zero. I'm not telling you this because I am setting the bar low. I am telling you this because if any part of my eyebrows looked tragic after this service, I would have said to myself " Oh well - no biggie. I'll let it fade away and go back to eyebrow powder." For me, that's zero expectations. But I didn't say that to myself. I looked in the mirror and was blown away. And this was before she tinted them! Don't get me started on how they looked AFTER she tinted them. Whoa. I plan to add this service to my beauty bill. I am almost 55 years old - and my eyebrows have naturally thinned out. I have never plucked or waxed them and they have a natural arch. After my brow lamination with Jennifer, I could feel my bruised ego heal. That's how good they look! Jennifer explained everything as she was working my brows. She was friendly, patient (I was little nervous - she handled me well) and professional. The process was painless and took about an hour from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. If you are reading this and are on the fence about brow lamination, let this be your sign that you should just go for it. Make that appointment with Jennifer and get your life back. My brows look damn good. (I would attach a pic, but I am too camera shy to post on the internet. Just trust me when I say they look good lol.)“
