The staff, including nurses like Erin, Anna, and Misaki, are caring, attentive, and compassionate, making patients feel at ease during labor and delivery. While some nurses may have varying levels of care, there are also outstanding examples of exceptional care, such as Dena, who went above and beyond to care for families. The center's doctors, including Dr. Emarievbe and Dr. Gardener, are knowledgeable, caring, and possess wonderful bedside manners. Although some issues may arise, such as supplies running out, the center's staff strives to provide a positive experience for new mothers and their families. Overall, the Pascal Women's Center at UM BWMC offers a memorable and exceptional experience for those welcoming a new baby.
The best medical team! I gave birth to my daughter here in October 2025 and my medical team was amazing! I delivered my 2nd born here in 2021 and both times it was amazing. I have to give a special S/O to my nurse SiSi who was with me pretty much my whole labor and delivery experience, and SiSi you felt like family and made me feel at peace when my family had to leave to tend to my older kids. I can’t forget these amazing ladies Alex & Tiana who was with me when I first got to the hospital and my blood pressure was high and even though I was laughing on the outside I was nervous on the inside and they made me feel safe and at ease. I've had the most wonderful experience with all the UM BWMC care I've received. I was doing my prenatal visits at the women's health center a few buildings down. My midwife Marissa Stear and nurse Jasmine are amazing! Due to high blood pressure I was sent over to labor and delivery and there I stayed until I had my baby girl the next day. What a WONDERFUL experience! Every person I interacted with was amazing. Kind, professional, and ready to explain my options and what was happening. Pains of labor aside, I had a very comfortable stay and was provided everything I needed. Wife gave birth here on 2/1. Both the facilities and staff were absolutely fantastic. Special shoutout to the Delivery Nurses Hanna, Katherine, and especially Jennifer. These nurses are truly special people.
