We recently celebrated my mother’s 80th birthday at Spark by Hilton Germantown last Aug1, and the event was a wonderful success. My mother was extremely happy, and our guests truly enjoyed the celebration.
The event space is spacious and beautiful, with plenty of room for our decorations, dining tables, entertainment, and dancing. Since there was no other event scheduled that day, we were generously allowed to decorate in advance, which made our preparation much easier and less stressful. The kitchen area and available food warmers were also very convenient for serving our large group of guests.

I would like to recognize the front desk agent Terrell who assisted me this morning for providing outstanding customer service. He handled all of my needs professionally, courteously, and efficiently.
Later, I noticed that my credit card had not yet been charged, so I called the hotel to make sure everything was processed correctly. I was pleased that the same agent answered the phone and once again handled my concern with professionalism. He clearly explained the situation, addressed my questions, and made sure everything was taken care of.

Great Way to See DC from the Water!
We had family visiting from out of town recently and decided to take the City Cruises Water Taxi from the Georgetown Waterfront to The District Wharf, and it turned out to be such a fun and scenic way to experience DC.
We boarded the 5:30 PM taxi on a Sunday evening, just in time to catch the sunset over the Potomac River and stunning views of the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and Jefferson Memorial. The ride took about 30 minutes and was smooth and relaxing the entire way.
