Maryland Tax Service, Inc.

Travis and his team are the best. They helped me several times in stressful situations when I struggled to understand estimated taxes and misremembered my own accounting. They are nothing but patient and kind -- I'd highly recommend.

In need of a tax preparation service I turned to yelp reviews. The reviews on both yelp and google were very good. Visited the MARYLAND TAX SERVICE INC. website and everything was organized and thorough. Contacted the owner Travis Funkhouser and he got back to me right away. Arranged a meeting at his home office with my wife, and both of us walked away very confident in Travis’s ability to prepare our taxes professionally at a fair price. The efficiency, communication, and attitude of this small business met and exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend.

I am in the process of starting a Maryland nonprofit, and I reached out to Travis via his website contact form. Travis emailed me back within a matter of hours, and actually called me directly later that same day to discuss my tax needs. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and asked thoughtful questions about my business plans and tax requirements. His rates are very reasonable, and he publishes those rates on his website for transparency. I would normally wait until I've had a longer-term experience with a business before leaving a review, but I've had such a great "new client" experience that I just had to leave a review now.
