Second time I’ve come here and I’ve always had a pleasant experience. My Mac laptop battery went kaput and Alan was able to fix it and replace it within a day. I dropped it off and he kept me updated on the status, which was amazing.

They do both Apple and Windows products.

I am a retired electronics engineer that ran a digital design consulting business. When my laptop when black-screen while I was using it, I took it to JL. I was impressed with the capabilities there to remove components from circuit boards and do actual circuit diagnostics. I was further impressed with the extensive knowledge of common lap and desktop problems.
My problem was quickly determined by a logical and knowledgeable debug approach right before my eyes. A faulty autonomous driver download had blanked my screen while I was using it. A bit of drive diagnostics revealed the problem.

We thought we would need to replace our 4- and 8-year old HP Envy laptops this week. But we took them to Jack at jL Computer Services to see if he could help us. We knew the batteries were dead and had tried last year to replace them but they are no longer available from HP. Even plugged in, they were not running well. Jack thought they would need new batteries and maybe a new solid state hard drive to replace a mechanical one in the older laptop, for which the total cost estimate was $400. Two days later diagnosis and repair completed: Only needed the two (off-market) batteries and some OS software clean-up. Total cost was $300. The PCs are now working well and we are delighted!
