District Dance is a leading recreational and competitive dance studio in Gaithersburg, MD and surrounding suburbs, offering a range of classes for children ages 2-18. With a supportive family environment, the studio empowers girls and young women to be leaders and nurtures their confidence through dance. The staff guides students of all levels, from beginners to seniors in high school, in styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop. Many students have been with the studio for years, praising the variety of classes, mentorship, and encouragement they receive. The studio also fosters friendships and a sense of community, making it a beloved destination for families.
My kids love their classes at District Dance. My youngest needs to do things in “her own time” so she’s eased in with a 6-week mini class that didn’t involve recitals or costumes, it was perfect at the time. Once she saw her big sister in a recital, she decided she was ready for it. Now we are there 3 days a week. But my kids aren’t competitive dancers, they do it for the fun of it. It’s a great environment, the teachers and staff are awesome, no pressure to do more unless the kids want it.
