About Best Kept Secrets Barbershop
Best Kept Secrets Barbershop offers decent haircuts, with many customers leaving satisfied. Customers appreciate barbers like Lance and Stephen, who provide great fades and shape-ups, often returning regularly. One reviewer mentioned that Lance did a good job on a step-son’s mid fade, even traveling from DC, and was very pleased with the results. Stephen received praise for giving excellent haircuts to a son and parent, making them feel confident and happy. However, some concerns were raised about the technique used by certain barbers. One customer experienced discomfort due to excessive pressure, resulting in scabs, and suggested more caution when cutting. Another mentioned that the back of their hair was not cut as precisely as desired, with a longer than expected process and a choppy fade. Overall, the shop is known for good haircuts, but there is room for improvement in technique and attention to detail.
The barbers here do, in fact, cut hair decent. My only thing is they need to be more cautious of how much pressure they're using when cutting hair. I've had plenty of cuts from other places and didn't have that issue. It was like the barber was digging into my head and edges, and now I have a bunch of scabs on my head. Are you trying to prevent my hair from growing back? Just work on that, please. I shouldn't feel pain when getting a haircut. You don't need to dig into my head to cut the hair.
I had my haircut with an old black guy who destroyed my hair. He cut my front hair from base. Worse experience in my life. He doesnt know how to cut hair. He should stop this business. He charged me $35 for a job that he doesnt know.
I don't feel that the barber really knew how to cut the back of my hair...which I called prior to ask if someone could cut straight/Caucasian texture hair. I just wanted a shape up/razor cut in the back. It didn't turn out terrible, but not really faded as I would have preferred (a little choppy) & showed the picture of what I wanted. It also took way longer than it should have (if he was an experienced barber).
