She is such a talented stylist and was so fun to talk to, especially when I get nervous with some stylists. Very passionate and honest about her work. If you have something important to do and need your hair done, she is very reliable and I definitely recommend coming here!“

Trust is something that’s built over time—and when it comes to our hair, especially Black hair, that trust is everything. We are the largest consumers of hair products, and as someone who has been natural since 2014, I can tell you: finding a stylist is no easy task.

Meeting a new stylist for the first time can be an amazing experience… or a total nightmare. Yesterday, I had the amazing kind. From the moment I stepped into her beautifully decorated salon, I was treated with respect and dignity. She listened to my concerns (my edges were thinning and my hair was dry), and we scheduled exactly what I needed.

When she came outside to greet me, I instantly felt my anxiety melt away. And yes—they say how a stylist wears her own hair is a sign of the service you’ll get. Well, hers was flawless. She’s professional, knowledgeable, and knows exactly what she’s doing. She gave me hair care tips, a gorgeous cut and color, and an energy that’s contagious.

Let’s just say—when I left, I wanted to do a backflip (but I value my hair and my back too much to try it). My TWA is together. I now have a stylist I can trust, and that means everything.

If you want someone who listens, cares, and will make you feel like royalty, go see her. You’ll walk in like a princess and leave out like a queen. I promise you—your hair, your confidence, and your spirit will thank you.

“I was referred to Ms. Kim after complimenting a woman’s pixie (she told me that her sister did it and gave me her info). I walked in today and I’m so happy I did because I will be back. Ms. Kim knows what she’s doing and talking to her felt like talking to your favorite Auntie. “This was my first time at the salon in Ft. Washington. When I walked in, I was greeted by the staff and asked who I was here to see. Ari was my stylist. She seemed kind but you could tell that she was bothered by having more than one client. Her other client asked her how long it would be and she just ignored her. I asked how often I should come to get my locs retwisted and she said she didn't know. I would have given this salon 5 stars if it weren't for her. She does a good job but needs to work on time management and try to answer questions to the best of her ability or ask another stylist. Mahogany saw that i had been waiting a bit to get the final touches done to my hair and stepped in to take the pins out, oil and do my edges. I will definitely return to the salon to get my hair done but I will not go back to Ari.“
