The fast food version of a massage. No communication. Felt like stretching of my skin more than that of a massage. I think this is where people go for training or it is simply is a scam. If you want to leave feeling greasy, damp, and unsatisfied, this is the place for you.

KENYA KENYA KENYA! I was hesitant to mention her in this review because that means more people will book her and will take away her availability! She’s educated, kind, and just amazing! The staff at Massage Envy has been so kind and helpful when navigating my monthly subscription and when scheduling! Their app also really helps with scheduling too!

I had a massage with Rimma at Massage Envy Ellicott City, and unfortunately, it was not the best. I came in with a specific issue—a kink in my right shoulder from sleeping wrong.

There was no discussion at all about why I was there that day or what pressure I preferred—something most therapists usually consult with you about before getting started. Instead, I informed her of the issue I was having. The session felt like light rubbing with no real pressure, technique, or focus on the problem area. It wasn’t therapeutic, and I walked out feeling exactly the same as when I came in.

I’m including the therapist’s name to help others when booking. I’ve had positive experiences at this location for a facial with Keshauna which was AMAZING but I found out that today that she no longer works there, so I’ll give this location another shot—but definitely with a different therapist.

I got suckered into the “membership” for $80/month. I specifically asked if I could cancel at any time and was cheerfully told “yes!” It took a month of back and forth for the manager to get back to me after I left multiple voice mails and emails. She would not honor the word of the front desk. It is a shame because I do think they have good providers.

Do not enroll in membership. Continued charging membership fees 6 months after multiple requests for cancellation. Their "accounts team" has proven unreachable.

Be aware. They do not honor language in their own gift cards. I got a facial and presented a gift card purchased from the Ellicott City location, but was told they imposed an expiration date on it despite the fact that it states both on the purchase receipt and on the gift card itself that it will never expire. I called 2 other ME locations, Gaithersburg and Rockville, who said they always honor gift cards and would never randomly impose an expiration date-per the language on the card itself. I elevated the issue to the GM who also refused to honor the gift card, Terrible business practice- I would never go back.

I signed up for a membership but had to cancel due to a medical issue. per my contract, I am able to cancel with a note from a physican which I supplied to massage envy. After multiple calls, voicemails, emails they still have yet to cancel my membership and my card continues to be charged monthly. overall- the quality of the massages are ok, and I do like the ease of scheduling. But the management at the Ellicott City location is subpar and seems to be avoiding me to continue charging my account. so do not recommend- at least this location.

Beyond unprofessional. The first time I went here for a service after signing up for membership they called me while I was on my way there (my phone was in my bag and not hooked to bluetooth) maybe 20 mins before my appointment to tell me the therapist called out. It takes me a half hour to get to the location so that was pretty frustrating. The last time I went here for a service, the therapist was just off and weird. She was wearing a mask, which I had no issue with, but then she insisted that I wear one as well and gave me a paper one. I was a little surprised but put it on anyway since you can't be too safe. I felt bad she had to give me one and said I would have brought my own if I knew, at which point she expressed that the management wouldn't allow it and told her she had to pay out of pocket for her own masks. On the table I inhaled funny and cleared my throat (did NOT cough and was not congested in any way), at which point she stopped the massage, threw her hands in the air, and said "If you're sick we can't continue." I assured her I wasn't but I for damn sure wasn't relaxed after that. I should have just left. The only good therapist they had was Alicia, who has been booked solid for years or no longer works there - I don't know which. Everyone else I've interacted with here has been indifferent, uncaring, or outright unpleasant with the exception of Brooke, who I spoke with today and was extremely kind. Brooke if you see this - get out while you can, girl. You can't get a live human on the phone unless you choose the right magical number that takes you to the "book an appointment" line option, and half the time you still wind up in voicemail, where no one ever calls you back.I called to cancel my membership in November and was told it would be two weeks for me to hear back from their accounts/accounting person by phone or email. Nothing. Called again in December and never got a call back or email. I'm not proud to say this but I will admit I left a pretty sarcastic message for the person requesting a callback. She called me back once to say she's "always in the office after 3pm" and despite me trying several times to reach her on different days after 3pm, no dice. They didn't bill me at the beginning of January so I thought they just cancelled and didn't call. Ha! Nope. They wound up attempting to charge me for two months at once about a week later, which put my HSA account in the red and prevented me from being able to refill my prescription medication.I had to call AGAIN, where the person who answered argued with me about whether or not the charge was on my card, even after I'd said more than once I showed it as pending and not posted. When I asked how long it would take for the pending charge to reverse and she got really short with me. I asked why I hadn't heard back from their accounts person and she snotted that "she (the account person) is really busy" and it could take up to six weeks (!) for me to hear back, despite me having originally called in November. The pending charge reversed and I didn't hear back from anyone. I moved on with my life. I wasn't even planning on posting a review until they just called me today and followed up with an email saying my account was suspended and I needed to make a payment immediately. I logged on to my card account and saw that they had charged it again.Holy. Crap. How many times do I have to request the cancellation? Because we're on four times now for those of you still reading.Complete clowns. I'd rather roll in broken glass and jump into a pool of lemon juice.
