I was having a panic on my way to therapy and was turned away for being over 15 min late to a 60 min session. I understand being charged the late fee which is 3x more than my copay but very disappointed my therapist refused to see me during a mental health crisis. I needed her in that moment and not only did I not receive services, I'm also out $85. Double whammy. Any other Healthcare provider would have supported their patient in that moment. I'm so disappointed by the 15 min rule. I guess they wouldn't be able to bill insurance for the full hour and make enough money off of us. I wish I could give 0 stars. I was having a panic on my way to therapy and was turned away for being over 15 min late to a 60 min session. The provider I saw was rude and when I informed her I was upset about what she said she did not apologize or have any attempt at therapeutic communications. Very uncaring. Even though they accept insurance so they are affordable it doesn’t mean you will get compassionate care. The provider I saw Dr. Sashi Nanji kept talking past my appointment time. An intake session is usually 90 minutes or over multiple sessions, but she triedto cover everything and give recommendations in an hour. She sighed and said now I’m 17 minutes late. I’m as patient not responsible for her time management or ending the appointment on time.
