Visit to the ER can be scary. The pleasant greeting from security set the tone. Checking in was done with such care, within a few minutes I was greeted by a tech, she took my vitals and walked me back to an examination room. ER doctor and nurses all were compassionate. The ER was busy and yet staff took time to keep me updated and well cared for. I was then admitted for a 4 day stay. My positive experience continued - Doctors, nurses, techs, housekeeping, kitchen staff all outstanding and so caring. Although I hope to never return, it’s comforting to know they are there… Thank you University of Maryland Shore Medical 💗
The hospital is too small for the service area. Family member was held in ED for several days. No hygiene offered till out of town family arrived to advocate. Developed decubitus ulcer from laying on stretcher. Poor standards especially for a Magnet Hospital in a very affluent area. Room 462 is disgraceful!
The entire staff (valet, admin, nurses, vascular surgery team, anesthesiologist team, cafeteria, security) at this location were extremely helpful, kind, and professional. Everyone in their role care efficiently for husband's treatment and accompanying family.
