XtraCare Landscaping
“It all started with the 2025 snowcrete. We got married and moved into a house with a garage that opens to a back alley. We didn't know Arlington County wouldn't shovel snow in the alley; our cars were locked in the garage for 3 weeks. We decided to build a driveway in front of the house to be safe for the following years. After a lot of research, we chose Xtra Care Landscaping because their price was reasonable, they seemed knowledgeable, they presented a design that wouldn't damage the appearance of the house (actually, it ended up enhancing it), and they had many Brazilians on their team (a bonus!). Our choice of Xtra Care Landscaping proved to be the right choice!
Cleber, Xtra Care’s owner, proposed several additions to enhance the landscaping. We ended up with an almost 6-month project, involving many contractors all managed by Xtra Care:
• Manufactured a new porch railing that matched the house porch
• Applied for and tracked through to approval for the Arlington County permits for the new driveway and replacement fence
• Installed lights and irrigation in the front and back yard, with irrigation also on the side of the house
• Installed a new fence for the house, and a small front dog-resistant fence
• Designed a beautiful paver driveway, concrete apron, and stepping stones around the house
• Designed and installed lawn and landscaping with edge stones and new plants, flowers, and herbs
• Installed a new Stone Mailbox that complemented the house’s existing stonework with a lovely flagstone base and a pier-mount light
Such a large, complex project with many interrelated parts was only possible with Xtra Care management and consistent supervision of the various companies. Cleber, CJ, Elinton, Marcos, and Lucas managed the stone, carpentry, and landscaping teams. They worked with Randy to ensure the lighting and irrigation were implemented on time. Mari and Grazi handled office management efficiently and graciously, and Angela contributed great design ideas. The final result exceeded our expectations, so much so that we signed a yearly maintenance contract with Xtra Care Landscaping.
We highly recommend Xtra Care Landscaping!”
