We have been clients for the past 14 years and have trusted them with the care of seven pets over the years. The veterinarians and the entire staff have always been exceptional. They truly go above and beyond to provide compassionate, high-quality care for our pets. We are so grateful for their kindness, dedication, and expertise. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinary team that genuinely cares. We love them!

Last night, we had an urgent situation with our senior pit bull, who suddenly began having severe difficulty walking, collapsing, panting heavily, and appearing extremely uncomfortable. We truly feared the worst. Our regular veterinarian was closing for the day and recommended Bennett Creek Animal Hospital, where we were seen by Dr. Kelly Hinkle.
From the moment we arrived, our dog was promptly seen by the staff, and everyone at Bennett Creek Animal Hospital — from the veterinary technicians to the front desk staff — was truly wonderful. During an incredibly stressful situation, every person we encountered was kind, compassionate, and professional.
Dr. Hinkle performed a thorough examination and, to our surprise and relief, diagnosed him with vestibular disease rather than a life-threatening emergency. She was calm, compassionate, and exceptionally clear in explaining what was happening, what we could expect, and how to care for him moving forward.
After a brief visit, our dog received two injections, a prescription, and was able to return home comfortably. We were also pleasantly surprised that the cost of the visit was very fair, especially considering the level of emergency care and attention we received.
Our entire family is incredibly grateful to Dr. Hinkle and the care we received. In more than 30 years of pet ownership, this was truly the best emergency veterinary experience we have ever had!

Compassionate practice. They saw our guinea pig immediately when we needed to have an object removed from around her tooth.

I have waited some time to truly sit down and write out a way to encompass how amazing this vet clinic is. I work in animal welfare and have for almost a decade now, so I have met my fair share of vets and practices. I also am picky in who I trust with my animals, and own both my domestic cats and exotic ferrets. I use Bennet Creek for all of my animals, and have such a trust in them we purchased our home in part for its proximity to this clinic. I have been seen by almost every vet who works here, including the owner of the practice, who is also a vet! I have brought them a cat I found actively dying in a creekbed and the team jumped in to save her, giving us a rescue discount and giving her the upmost love. She has now been with me many years and seen by them each time, and this is a 16-20 year old cat. I have had my animals euthanized here, and always felt for what a horrible situation that is, they treated them like their own animals and made sure it was as peaceful and loving as it could be. They preformed another cats necropsy for me, providing comfort and answers after a sudden loss. I have brought them behaviorally agressive cats, who would end up rubbing on the vet due to how well staff handles their demenor around animals. I have been seen for both routine care and urgent appointments. In fact, I dont think I have ever brought them a species, situation, or condition they didnt make a best effort to solve and help with. They are not money hungry, they are kind, and they are truly the best of the best. Their care, expertise, and passion shines from the front desk to the technicians to the vets themselves. We are so grateful to have foudn them, and so lucky.

Had an excellent experience at Bennett Creek Animal Hospital during a not so excellent experience with my dog Cadence. My dog broke her nail while playing fetch. It was significant, thankfully we had styptic powder on hand to stop bleeding at home. The nail needed to be removed, and Bennett Creek was able to see us quickly. Everyone there was lovely. She was sedated, they worked on her quickly, bandaged her up and brought in a blanket for her to wake up with us. Our Cadence is a very spoiled pup, and they took wonderful care of her. Thank you!

Seriously impressed by this place. Our pug consumed a couple grapes and this was the closest place. They got the grapes out incredible quickly. Our dog is back to his happy healthy self and totally unfazed by the visit. Everyone was very kind, professional and efficient.

I cannot say enough great things about the emergency services at Bennett Creek Animal Hospital in Clarksburg Maryland . Exactly one week ago , my two year old Pit Mastiff mix , grabbed a steak I had just removed from the grill, which had a two inch metal skewer securing the bacon which was wrapped around the steak. The steak was a gift to us from Omaha Steaks and came that way and I didn’t consider what a hazard that was . I turned my back for a few seconds to grab a knife and turned back and saw my dog chewing and a steak missing . I tried to grab it from his mouth but he swallowed it before I could get it out of his mouth. I knew this sharp, two pronged metal skewer could do serious damage if it punctured something internally. We gave them a call and they said to bring him in immediately. Shortly after we arrived , a friendly vet assistant, Hannah came out to meet us and asked us what happened and said they would get him in quickly . A short time later , a vet tech , DJ, came out to give him a a shot of sedation as he is not the most cooperative patient and needed to be still for an Xray. He was brought back to the exam room where we met with the vet, Noel Pena. She was very sweet but concerned that they get an Xray quickly to see where the metal skewer was located . After several more sedation injections, they were able to get him on the Xray table and saw the metal skewer in his stomach. They quickly prepared him for surgery and told us he would be there overnight and would call us after the surgery. We left feeling he was in good hands. We received a text from Dr Pena at 3:45 am to let us know they had removed the skewer from his stomach and no damage was done and they would give us an update in the morning. Thankfully, our dog was very drowsy but doing well when we arrived to pick him up . I cannot be more grateful to this animal hospital and the care team that potentially saved his life . They deserve a 5 star rating and then some . I highly recommend this practice and especially the vet who performed this life saving surgery.
