I moved into Brighton Gardens of Friendship Heights in January of 2024. It’s a great neighborhood with many shops and restaurants, plus my son lives just ten minutes away. Moving into Brighton Gardens was one of the best decisions I ever made. I was fortunate in that at my first meal here, I was introduced to people who would become my buddies. I wasn’t expecting for the transition from living on my own to an assisted living community to happen so quickly and smoothly. All it takes is a friend or two, and ice cream served twice daily! The staff at Brighton Gardens creates a warm, non-pressured environment. The well-planned numerous activities are exceptional -- music, art, lectures, movies, many fine concerts, dancing and field trips. And the facility is nice too -- large communal rooms, a restaurant-style dining room, and large individual rooms.
We moved to Brighton Gardens of Friendship Heights in August 2021. We have a lovely apartment and hotel-like cleaning and laundry service. There are friends to dine with; card games, word games, Spanish lessons, French conversation, movies every evening; current events discussions; concerts or recitals each week; and we go to museums, on garden tours, and to special restaurants. Moreover, we can go to the Kennedy Center or Strathmore, to the theater, or meet up with friends for breakfast, lunch, or dinner out. Also, Brighton Gardens is located in Friendship Heights, with its stores, restaurants, and a wonderful community center and park.
