Added for hair to my daughter’s hair after I asked them not to. Their were attitudes were out of control. What ever product they use in the hair flakes really bad

I thought this place was only for kids but I was able to get my hair done and it didn't take too long either. Chandler did a good job on my hair. I already booked my next appointment.

Well worth the price and love that they are very patient with my tender headed daughter.

I brought my daughter here for French braids and asked for 2 curly pieces. I’ll be honest, wasn’t expecting 10 dollars extra for just two curly pieces. I understand for the whole hair. Felt like this was excessive. But the reason why I give one star was when I called, the lack of customer service from the person who answered the phone. Even if you (as the owner didn’t care) it’s poor tact to express it with a sarcastic toned apology. I was disappointed because this is a black owned business and I have supported many time throughout the last few years. I canceled my child’s next appointment and we won’t be returning.

The place is beautiful & the younger stylist are very friendly and works well with kids. The first time I went. No issues. The second time I went the same stylist used toooooo much gel. My daughter got twist and gel was clogged all over her hair the next day. I informed the stylist, sent a pic of the top of her hair, and she told me to come back the next day. I come the next day and the owner states my daughter just needs to sit under the dryer. She sits under the dryer for twenty minutes and brings her to me as if everything was fixed but you can clearly still see the gel. So I tell her there is still gel. The owner looks around my daughter’s hair as if it’s not that bad as says she can do a “steam” something to get gel out but it would make her hair frizzy. I said ok because I rather not have a gunk of gel. She gets a damp rag and wipes my child’s scalp and sits under the dryer for a couple minutes. At that time, the gel was no longer visible - I assume because her hair was still damp. Then the owner is going to ask if my daughter uses gel, yes. She asked what gel did the stylist use? I said idk, it’s not the first time she got her hair done by her so I would assume she used the same products. She told me to tell the stylist maybe try another gel…. Making it seem the gel didn’t agree with my child’s hair - but in reality it was the excessive amount of gel was what the problem was. I left the shop because the gel was no longer visible, but the next day the gel was still tacky and caked up. I did not bother to go back or say anything else because obviously there is a lack of accountability and I’m not going to subject my daughter to having to constantly keep getting hair fixed. Unfortunately I had to take the style out. I gave them another chance & rebooked with another stylist brought up the gel concerns. I had the same issue of excessive gel. It was even a struggle taking out her hair because it was all tacky, white, stuck together, and stringy. I literally had to triple shampoo her hair to get all the gel out. Waste of time and money.

Great braiding salon for kids! The atmosphere is very welcoming, and our stylist, Tamia, is patient and does beautiful work. My daughter is tender-headed, so I come with her hair already washed and blow-dried. Prices are a bit high, but the quality is worth it. I do wish there were separate pricing options for clients who come with their hair already washed and blow-dried, but overall, we’ve had a great experience and will continue coming back.

Love it here. The stylist are so gentle and my daughter always loves her hair.

Just left the salon and I completely understand why they are getting one star reviews. This was my daughters first time receiving boxbraids at this salon. When I booked online the price was $140 for kids small box braids. When I go to check out I was charged $170 when I asked about the price the receptionist, who was on the phone with the owner stated that the prices had went up that week. I booked the appointment on 2 September and the appointment was on 6 September. I was never made aware of a price increase and the owner didn't even take the time to discuss the matter. This very disappointing and I will not be a returning customer. Not only that after getting home and taking a closer look at my daughters hair all the braids in the back are large and there's so much products on the braids her scalp is turning white.

Pearls Curls and Girls Event and Spa party has become a place where my daughters can be themselves and get pampered at the same time . The staff is energetic , friendly, and uplifting young ladies who make you feel welcomed when walking in the door. The decor is everything !!!!!!!!! I appreciate the walk in service . This was a godsend to the area and I am happy to support !
