About Walter Reed Army Medical Center
Walter Reed Army Medical Center receives mixed feedback. One patient had wonderful care since 1987 for a scoliosis operation, with wonderful nurses and the best care ever, continuing follow-ups until 1999. Another patient had nothing but wonderful service at all military facilities, stating that if it weren't for WR, they would not be here, and advises people to stop whining and be thankful for affordable care. However, the clinic has two teams—blue and gold. With blue, scheduling was quick, information on procedure was excellent, and colonoscopy staff were professional, kind, and on top of their game. With gold, there was the worst lack of professionalism and communication; the scheduling nurse never returns phone or email messages, took 7 months to schedule, and never discussed prep or diet. Patients overheard others unable to schedule, making it infuriating that half receive inadequate care.
Good health care provided and drs listen to their patients and hear them this is so very important.
