A few days ago, my husband and I visited the offices of Sullivan & Co., to complete the signing process for our 2025 federal and state tax returns. It's the month of July, so clearly we were filing late tax returns, and the reason for our lateness is that we have recently retired from an overseas job and have a slightly more complex tax situation than many families.
