Had an appointment today with Dr. Mason at 8:50am. I checked in for my appointment, waited over an hour without being seen. I had my vitals checked after about 20 minutes and had to go back in the waiting area because Dr. Mason didn't have any rooms available. I left at 9:56am. Before I got home, I received a message stating Dt. Mason completed my "After Visit Summary ". My AVS-stated "patient LEFT WITHOUT being seen." Not "after waiting for over 60 minutes patients was not seen for an appointment she scheduled in July because this was the first available appointment with her NEW primary care physician." This is the second time a doctor has had me waiting for over an hour like it's the ER. Kaiser has a habit of double booking patients, sometimes even triple booking. Meaning, putting 2-3 patients in one time slot. Especially in Adult Medicine and Family Practice due to there not being enough providers for the influx of patients. I will NOT be returning to KP after my open enrollment. As a MEDICARE patient with special provisions and a veteran, this is unacceptable. I came back to KP for care because of the frustration I had with the VA however, the continuity of care has significantly declined over the past 4 years. Before I exit, I will be contacting my state representative, CMS, and whoever else about the lack of urgency Kaiser has when it comes to actual patient care. I've included an email I sent after seeing my AVS. Once again I'm back for my rescheduled appointment 10.28.24, almost a month later. My appointment was at 2:40pm. It's 3:12. I checked in at 2:33pm. No one has came out to even call me to take my vitals. This center is trash. And no I will not be contacting member services. I'm contacting CMS.

This place is absolutely horrible! I needed a surgery and the surgery scheduler that I spoke to was so mean, condescending, and have a terrible attitude. Additionally, for nurses and doctors, their gossips are more important than taking care of suffering patients. I will never ever go back to this place and will also switch my health insurance. Jesus!

Dr. Paetow is outstanding! He gives Kaiser Permanente a great name and makes me value my healthcare, ten-fold. Possessing a fantastic bedside manner, he is warm and kind, a wonderful listener, and highly efficient. He offers a one-stop hub for his patients (scheduling key appointments on-the-spot), and we love him for that. Ten stars! Highly recommended. ~Linette Santamaria
