If you are looking to have your pool deck refinished stay away from this company! The cost for 1,860 sq ft was $10,680 and we paid $3154 deposit. When they arrived to power wash the deck their machine didn’t work and they asked to use ours. The first application resulted in a shiny slippery finish which is totally inappropriate for a pool deck, none of us could walk on it without falling. They came back a second time and applied a fine grade aggregate which literally cut the bottom of our feet, a third time, no improvement and it looks awful! They used duct tape to mark off the plastic grout and never removed the glue that duct tape leaves, didn’t cover the fencing around the pool so the bottom has white paint all over it, they stepped in white paint then walked on the decking – totally unprofessional on all levels. We ordered grey and got white! This month (Sept) we finally got the owner, Fred Lounsberry to come out and look at it he admitted the job was unacceptable and when we complained he got mad at us and denied offering the finish we asked for on his web site. When I said it was still there, he abruptly said NO, IT ISN’T. I showed him it was. Now he was really upset. He stopped the conversation and said “You have 2 options, you either let me fix it or we call it even and you don’t owe me any more money” I replied the grout was still covered with glue from a tape they never should have used and he said in a louder voice “I repeat - You have 2 options, you either let me fix it or we call it even and you don’t owe me any more money”. I said so you aren’t going to take care of the tape, and he said, “Only if I come and fix the deck and then you will have to pay the balance”. I told him to get off my property, he said “FINE”. We are still cutting our feet on the aggregate and it looks worse every day.

Trucrete applied floor treatment to my garage and floor and we could not be more happy with the results! Nick and Jason are artists! I can tell the Trucrete crew takes pride in their work. The preparation of the floors and application of the epoxy, color chips then the top coat of polyaspartic is a fascinating process. The floor is prepped by sanding off a thin layer of the concrete. Large commercial vacuums with filters are used with the sanding equipment. A very thin layer of dust was left. Hardly noticeable! You can't have 100% dustless with this process. But this is darn near considering what has to be done. Air handlers with HEPA filters and fans are used plus the workers use masks for personal safety. The sanding removes the stains, any oils already soaked in and lightly scores the concrete for the adhesive. If any concrete repair is needed, they will cover/seal cracks and fill in where concrete pieces are coming up. Then the adhesive is put down (epoxy/polyaspartic) and the color chips are spread by hand. The color chips are put down in a heavy layer. You get to chose the size and color(s). There's a lot to choose from! Then day 1 is done! About 4-5 hours for both basement and garage. Day 2 starts with cleaning up any loose chips. They are swept up (with a little top scrape to remove any chip edges) and also vacuumed. Any loose chips are recycled. Then the top layer of adhesive is put down to seal everything in. Day 2 was maybe 3 hours. After 12 hours or so to dry your floor is ready! They say around 3 hours to walk on although we just kept off until the next morning. That's the layman's "quick" explanation. One of the owners will come out, measure and talk through what you want, give guidance and explain the process in as much detail as you would like. Fred came out and was not pushy at all. A discount was offered to me for getting the basement and garage done at the same time. Of which I took advantage. Again, the installation crew was fantastic! Work was done as efficiently as possible. I found myself hanging around asking questions which didn't phase or interrupt Nick as he kept working. He was more than happy to answer all questions about the process. I didn't see one personal phone out. No texting or standing around. When working with the adhesives, no mess was left or tracks made on the driveway or in the basement. They wear lawn aerating shoes to keep things neat with no footprints in or around the floor being treated. The spiky shoes are removed and put on cardboard or in a clean bucket when leaving the work area. When all is done, the crew will vacuum/sweep and clean the area of any loose chips, debris or dust on the floor. There is slight initial odor when applying, however I did not smell anything in my home office right above the garage. Both garage and basement were just about odor free within 24 hours of completion. It's kind of like a "new carpet" smell. Not harsh or unpleasant. All in all, a very enjoyable process for me and the crew! I can tell they enjoy the work they do. It is not a complicated process, but it does take skill. I do relate it to an artist's skill. I took a lot of pictures (again **** fascination!) and posted some. Only allowed 10 though. The floors are slightly textured. Which I like as I store and move motorcycles around both floors. I've already dragged metal shelves and slightly heavy work bench in the basement with no chipping, scuffs or marks at all. If you want this process cheap, do it yourself. Trucrete's pricing I would say is reasonable for having skilled professionals with the right tools and training.
