I love the finish product of the work they do. BUT I had to tell the lady washing hair to clean the sink out, and to use a new comb before I set down. She was going to wash my hair in a sink that was dirty from a previous client, and use the same comb on my head. Not only that when she sanitized the bowl she used a dirty towel to clean it. I know this because they have clean towels in the cabinet, but she reached for a dirty one on top of the hamper. Because of their sanitation, and hygienic practices I wont be returning!

Hailing from the Bronx NYC, I’m very familiar with Dominican Hair Salons and for my first time, it was amazing. The Wash was everything, then Geri set curlers, cut my style exactly how I explained, curled then wrapped with pins. It was 5 Star service. She took her time and asked plenty of questions. I watched how girls came in and talked down to the staff and both Geri and the young hair washer kept a professional demeanor and navigated the conversation beautifully. Even a little old lady came in saying she only had $50 and those ladies told her what she can get then gave her an exceptional service. That warmed my heart. I will be a regular of Geri’s now.. that type of talent is hard to find in Baltimore. Thanks Ladies for giving me a wonderful experience.

6 Month Update: My hair is still straight and breaking off at the root. I was trying to hold off on cutting it because I wanted to believe my hair would return to its original state but at this point it has not and a stylist pointed out that I have bald spots around my head where my hair came out entirely Message me if you had a similar experience at this place!
If you have healthy curly hair STAY AWAY from this place. I was originally quoted $45 for a blowdry and trim and expected to pay $55 because my hair is thick and they charge extra for that. I ended up paying $75 for a blowdry and trim and when asked they said because my hair was “long, thick, and curly”.. so I’m paying extra for being black.. cool. In addition, my hair is just past my shoulders when straightened so how is that considered long? :|
To make matters worse, after washing my hair it came out in CLUMPS. Entire sections of my hair are now broken off, damaged, and short. The next stylist asked if I just got a perm because my hair smelled like chemicals before and after she washed it.. I did not think so but she said my hair was very damaged.
I filed a complaint with the Department of Labor and BBB to get them shut down. Hopefully it happens before anybody else’s hair becomes damaged like mine.
Attached pictures of my hair before the service, the “long hair” they charged me $15 extra for, SOME of the hair I lost after I washed, and my hair SEVEN washes after the service.

I have been coming to this salon for over a decade and the service and staff has always been great. There's obviously a bit of a language barrier, so just be patient. They are very accommodating with appointments especially during the peak of the pandemic. In summary, I am always satisfied with the service and quality.
