I’m not sure what’s happening to the trades industry in Winnipeg, but it is getting extremely difficult to find honest people doing good work. I’m so fortunate I was able to have Winnipeg home services help me out on very short notice. I dealt with a manager by the name of Dustin Ready. He was extremely friendly, professionally direct and very detail oriented, which as I said is absent from todays trades market. Good contact to have in the future, and I will not contact anyone but his office staff moving forward. My AC unit is 20 years old and was literally warming the house during our first heat wave. Couldn’t cook, couldn’t sleep, with 2 young kids at home it was a panic and extremely unsafe for our family. Every company I called told me a minimum 2 week wait and immediately quoted me on a new AC instead of LISTENING to my observations and trouble shooting if I could fix it. When I went down that path with many other phone calls, I was told to book an appointment, pay an insane service call fee or no info or help. When I contacted Dustin he was more than happy to actually LISTEN to my findings and trouble shooting I’ve done and helped me rule out that it was fixable( which I already pretty much knew, but it’s about the service standard and putting the customer first, not the dollar). He was excellent and attentive. We ended up installing a brand new AC, and he had it done in 3 days with no notice given to them. My house is a literal meat cooler now 🙂 and I am so grateful that I ran into this individual and this company. The tradespeople that installed, worked around our schedule, that was changed on them. Did an incredible job installing, cleaned up after themselves thoroughly, and were all very professional and friendly. Don’t book with anyone else. There are crazy amounts of dishonest people in many companies in this market. This should be your stop for any of your home needs. It is for me and my family
