Valdek Construction installed an Award Marble shower / tub surround, and I couldn’t be more pleased with results. The project was modest in scale, but I feel that Matt and his team prioritized it as they would a larger project. It had been a challenge to get other companies out to look at the potential project, so I am grateful that Matt came out to look at it. He outlined several options and provided an estimate for each. I'm a bit late with this but wanted to add my high praise for the work Matt, Triston, Laura and Zach did for our 'new'/old house. Our basement needed major over haul which they did an amazing job on. Also a master bath make-over [ beautiful job]. Matt has great communication skills. You always knew what was happening /when/ why. AND.... they cleaned up all debris nicely at the end of it all. We needed quite a few things done in our basement: reframing of walls, new insulation, new laundry area, rectifying things from the previous owners… and I’m so happy I went with Valdek construction!Matt is very communicative and out of the contractors I reached out to, he was the only one that consulted us on solutions where the rest just took my request and sent a quote. Matt took the time to understand the problem and made recommendations to drive the most impact and was mindful of our budget too. For example he recommended to include foam board as part of our reframe work to help with increasing the Rvalue instead of just using thicker insulation. No other contractor...read full review
