I have been going to Transcona Optical for years. I appreciate the attention to detail during my eye examination and feel my specific eye concerns are being taken care of. All the staff are very professional and caring.
At my eye exam at a different clinic in November, I learned that my blurry vision was due to a cataract and the surgery wait time was about 1 year. In the interim, I was told that there was no point in getting new lenses. Very dismayed, I heard about Dr. Blackie from a friend and decided to see her for a second opinion. She confirmed that I do have a cataract, but after my eye exam she demonstrated with her lenses, the improvement I would experience if I was willing and could afford a new lens for my affected eye while awaiting surgery. A short while ago I went to Transcona Optical to get fitted for some new glasses. They came recommended by a friend. The staff there were very knowledgeable, eager to help and friendly. I would recommend then to all who need glasses.Thank you so much, to all the staff Transcona optical.
