As a Black member visiting Winnipeg on vacation from my regular home gym at Gold’s Gym in Vancouver, BC, I was not sure what to expect dropping into Planet Fitness in Garden City. Last year, I was involved in a severe motorcycle accident resulting in four major fractures and three surgeries. I currently live with metal hardware, including a plate fixation for a right lateral tibial plateau fracture, plus distal radius, ulnar styloid, and scaphoid fractures in my left hand and wrist.
