This shop used to be my reliable go to for alterations. It is now under new ownership. We brought in a prom dress to be shortened. The dress was shortened as requested but the service left a lot to be desired. The seaming, while only visible up close, is so wavy it hardly looks professional. I could have managed the same myself as a rank amateur with my home machine. The dress was not pressed or steamed so it came home not in condition to be worn, leaving this stressed mom with a big task to do with her home steam iron. The cherry on top was the cost. $170. Cash. The service that this place offers me is incredible. They just opened under a new owner for a couple months, and I can see a huge improvement. The store is tidy, and the owner is a very nice person. Just give this place a try, and you won’t regret it. However, since the owner is a non-English speaker, she will sometimes need to get translation so please understand that she is not trying to be rude.
