Called and scheduled an inspection and cleaning of my wood stove. I was quoted $250 over the phone. The technician came the next day and performed the inspection and cleaning. During the process of cleaning the stove he removed a bird. When I received the bill there was an up charge of $300 for animal removal. There was never any discussion of the up charge before or after the inspection. I called to question the bill and the woman on the phone said there was nothing she could do. I'm in the process of filing a complaint with the BBB. Buyer Beware shady business practices.
Absolutely avoid this company. They are not chimney cleaners. They offer a $239 inspection first, then tell you your chimney is beyond repair. The unlicensed tech then tells you how they can put an overpriced liner in or rebuild the chimney for $17,500. File a complaint with CT Dept of Consumer Protection online so they can be oversighted. Both the owner and technician who came both have lengthy criminal records too.
Mark is fantastic. Honest and professional. A real craftsman. He provided us with really good advice on our two chimneys when we bought our new house and did a very neat job making a repair to the cement of our fireplace.
