My initial call to NESM was met with a friendly and very knowledgeable voice (Ken Furtney), willing to hear my story. I was offered an at-home visit to check-out and verify my newly found vermiculite/asbestos issue. After signing a remediation contract with him, the job was scheduled in under 3 days.
On the day of removal, the owner, Scott McKenna, was on–site to assist his very professional and efficient crew. As equipment was being setup, attention to my hardwood floors were in the process of being covered, without my intervention. We wanted to have asbestos pipe insulation removed in the basement of our new house. I had called NESM prior to the purchase to get an idea how expensive it would be. Jim was very helpful, asked a lot of detailed questions in order to give me the most accurate ballpark estimate. He also answered all of my questions patiently. When he came to the house to look at the job and give an estimate he was even telling we wouldn't need to remove the asbestos if we're not planning to be in the basement that often.
