The progress he has made under his teacher's guidance is remarkable. MMMA offers a great piano program suitable for both fun and competitive learning. MMMA has a group of outstanding instructors and Vivian does a great job in finding a perfect match for each child. They also offer various performance opportunities, from charity events to showcases. The end-of-year recital is always an enjoyable family event for us, and even during the pandemic, they created online performances that we enjoyed from home.In addition to piano, MMMA offers other programs such as voice, drum, guitar, and rock band. The founders, Vivian and Chris, both accomplished musicians and experienced educators, have put tremendous effort into providing this unique music education experience. We highly recommend Merry Melody Music Academy to anyone interested in taking music lessons.“

“We used Little Groove for my son’s 4th birthday party and it was amazing! They were so easy to work with and had great communication throughout the entire planning process. Tommy arrived early, and had 20 kids fully engaged and giggling the entire time. He brought a variety of toys (maracas, puppets, drums, parachute, etc) which the kids loved and also allowed them to participate in a variety of ways. “I enrolled my daughter in the indoor family class (0-4) when she had just turned 2 years-old until now at 3 years and 3 months old. We are currently taking a break just to try out some different activities for her (not enough hours in the weekend to do everything), but I couldn’t recommend CMCJP enough. It’s obvious that Christy, the program’s founder, has a background in early childhood music education, and that she carefully curates her curriculum to cultivate musical development (i.e. learning different rhythmic patterns, songs in minor vs. major keys), music appreciation, and, most of all, fun for the kids and families! As opposed to other less thoughtful children’s music classes, she doesn’t just play a guitar while the kids shake some instruments. She really thinks about what skills she can teach through her song choices, the instruments she chooses to have the kids play with, and the body motions she incorporates with almost all her songs (clapping, dancing, etc.). As a former dancer, I particularly appreciate the importance she places on movement with most of her songs, as well as tactile props, such as scarves, accordion ropes, and, always a kid-favorite, the PARACHUTE.

In short, if you want to expose your child to a high-quality early childhood activity, I highly recommend CMCJP. We will be signing back up in the future, hopefully for some outdoor classes in the summer!“

“We received a call from the director of Newton Music Academy last Wednesday; she informed us that our daughter was accepted for voice lessons in the spring. The voice lessons are very popular, but the spots are very limited. Her teacher is a renowned singer and music professor. We are so excited that our daughter was given one of the spots.

Previously, our daughter had studied violin for 2 years at NMA, and enjoyed the welcoming and supportive atmosphere there.
