178 Winter St, Fall River“The majority of staff were very pleasant. The funeral service went smoothly—the staff was very professional. The Wake at Waring Sullivan was set up comfortably with plenty of places for photos or flowers.
Previously, I had stopped by their facility 2 years prior to make sure the contract and my father’s wishes would be taken care of. He prepaid for everything in Florida through the Dignity Memorial program. It started the night he passed - the nurse was having difficulty with the person on the phone in charge at the Waring Sullivan home. I am not sure if they could not find his paperwork. I was then asked to come on the phone before I headed out to clarify some questions. Here it is 1am and I am being asked to set an appointment the next day! Could I meet in the morning or 1 pm? What? It is 1am and I did not expect to make an appointment within the next 12 hours. This just seemed odd. Maybe because it was already Saturday?
I took the last slot at 1pm- we met up with one of the Funeral Directors. At this time I was informed the person I had spoken to 2 years ago was no longer there.
Erica read off that he had a Traditional Funeral plan and read off the description. She proceeded to tell us: we will meet at the Chapel and you can do an open casket visitation for 45 minutes followed by a full funeral. I let it go.
On Monday morning I called the Funeral Home in Florida where Dad had purchased his Funeral from. I asked for clarification on what a traditional funeral was vs what Erica told us it was. I was right Erica was cutting back on services. I call Waring Sullivan and spoke to Erica and stated I would like what my father signed up for originally. She tried to redirect me to the dollar amount he paid vs a traditional funeral he paid for 30 years prior. I stated that I verified what he was entitled to with the Funeral Home in Florida. She had no choice - We moved forward with an evening wake followed by a full funeral the next day at the Chapel.“

“Well worth the wait. I wanted to be sure to give my sister what she deserved. The first monument place I visited didn't offer what I was looking for. Jenn and her team matched our vision and had a custom piece made. It took well over 5 months to arrive but the final product was what we imagined. She communicated with us and had the proper logistics needed to make this possible. Thank you Albanese Monuments <3“
