I have been going to so many places around Medford/somerville and he was the only one who spoke quite a bit making me feel that the place is MY PLACE. It was clean and his willingness to know what i want was admirable. He made me feel at home right away. Now about the cut, he was bang on. He took time to understand as it was my first time and definitely tried his best to accommodate and explain the pros and cons before he cut. I loved the fact that he also corrected my understanding surrounding the fades and also lined my stach (a light trim) for free as he is a self declared perfectionist. Haha I am glad, i feel like i finally found my place for a haircut 5 mins walk from my home.“

“I see some comments that find reflect the way this shop is ran and Tony having worked there to owning it for 20+ years has been nothing but good service , respectful, sometimes as any shop mostly dominated by men the debates get animated at times . But more so I left always with and smile on my face as well as knowledge. What the man does for the community is amazing . I watched him take an unfortunate honor student on a shopping spree and pay for him to play football. As for the people with the bad comments I must stay it doesn't come from a good place because the 18yrs I've been going there never been any issues“

“My husband has the kind of very straight hair that can be really hard to work with. His cowlicks add to the challenge. He struggled for years to find a good barber and haircuts often shook his confidence in his appearance.

During the pandemic, I cut his hair a couple of times and learned a few tricks that worked, but I'm no barber. It was far from perfect. When it was time to go to a barber again, my husband found Troy.

I wasn't sure how this person I'd never met was going to respond to a wife coming and telling him things about how to cut her husband's hair, but I was pleasantly surprised by how open Troy was to me doing that. I gave all of my tips at the beginning and then left, though Troy kindly welcomed me to stick around.

Not only was he receptive, he listened. He gave my husband an excellent haircut. He's been giving him excellent haircuts for the 3 years since then. Never needed a reminder of any of those tips. Always makes him look so polished. Remembers the length my husband likes it to be. Gets every detail so perfect.

“I tried 7 Barber Studio and had the owner Yendel cut my hair. I’m pretty particular about my hair being cut as it has a lot of waves and also a little bit thin on top. Yendel spent the time to hear me out and also explain what he was going to do. This was probably the best haircut I’ve had in a long time!! He was not in a rush. To the contrary, he took his time and was very meticulous spending over 30 minutes from the beginning to the end. I really appreciated that a lot. He gave me a traditional men’s cut with a modern flair. At the end he explained how I should brush my hair on the top going with the way the hair wants to go toward the side/front and then going toward the back with a small portion of the front bang. He’s a great conversationalist and seems a lot older than his young age. Very empathetic and kind. I highly and I mean HIGHLY recommend Yendel!!! THANK YOU!!!“
