Tried Charlie’s Barber Shop for the first time. My husband has been going to Michael for a few years so I made an appointment. I was long overdue for a haircut and had never even set foot in a barber shop before, but he made the whole experience super easy. What really stood out was how detailed he was with his questions—like, no one has ever asked me such precise things about what I actually want in a haircut.
Also… the neck shave at the end was an unexpected highlight! Honestly, way better than the typical salon hair wash.

Gotten a few cuts from Adam. Always great.
Right after I moved to Cambridge in 2009, I needed a hair cut. I walked in to a barbershop in Davis Sq., and the hair cut wasn’t what I was expecting. I asked my neighbor where did he get his, and he said that he and his son had been going to Charlie’s for some time.
17 years later, I’m still one of Charlie’s “newest oldest client.” He has heard me talk about grad school, babies, divorce, new jobs, etc. It’s not only about the hair cut, but above all, the human connection. Charlie excel at this.
Now, I’m just waiting for my son’s turn for a haircut to pass on a tradition.
