Diane Kelley and the DKDS staff focus on the personal growth and development of each student. They stress that winning is nice (and they do win quite often) but achieving personal growth and excellence is first and foremost. The dance students become a family. They learn teamwork, confidence (not arrogance), how to support others, how to strive for their personal best, how to work hard, how to show up even when it's hard, how to receive professional criticism, how to win the right way, and even how to lose the right way. Having observed the progress of my own daughter, the past 11 years and spoken with several parents, it is clear that Diane Kelley is deeply committed to the long-term development of its dancers, both as artists and as individuals.
Great dance studio for beginners and more advance. Lots of options at affordable prices. My daughter loves her teachers (which are usually the older class dancers). Diane is also amazing and a great teacher.
