The hospital does not understand how to treat Diabetics. I was in for appendicitis and on IV fluids. They refused to give me insulin and put me on DKA. after then in ICU on insulin drip. put back on floor had low of 65 and did NOT know how to treat said low. ended up with AFIB. checked myself out.

I have been to Mr. Auburn hospital a few times -specifically to the emergency department . While I find the doctors and nurses y tend to you good when they are around. Their overall service include communication is subpar. Just recently the doctor and nurses y tend checking my wife were really good but they forgot to check us out and waited 90 minutes with no communication and when I approached another person to see what is going on, the attitude was just terrible. What is really bad is that someone could have been using our room for services as the emergency ward was full… our nurse must have gotten caught up with another emergency but no one else would step in and help her clear some of the stuff. Horrible service is how I would put itl- Update- the doctor who treated us just saw us and apologized profusely as he was surprised to see us here and dealt with the discharge paperwork himself. Feel so bad for him..wonder why the other nurses could not have done this 2 minute stuff
